Community Spotlight
Sometimes people need support that goes beyond practical help at home. That’s why we’re introducing a new monthly “Community Spotlight” feature, highlighting organisations that offer valuable support to people across Hertfordshire.
This month we’re featuring Change Grow Live (CGL), a charity that supports people affected by drugs and alcohol. CGL provides advice and information, one-to-one support, structured group programmes and access to specialist clinical services, including detox and rehabilitation support. Their services are available across Hertfordshire and support people of all ages.
CGL also runs a variety of specialist support groups, including an online LGBTQIA+ support group and a Veterans SMART Recovery Group for members of the armed forces community who are dealing with addiction or compulsive behaviours.
Seeking support for yourself or encouraging a conversation with a loved one can feel difficult, but help is available. CGL’s teams work with people at all stages of their recovery journey, offering non-judgemental support and guidance.
