HILS Gets Involved in Brew Monday to Support Staff Wellbeing
This January, HILS took part in Brew Monday, a campaign led by Samaritans that aims to turn Blue Monday into something more positive by encouraging people to check in with one another over a cuppa.
Across our sites, we provided a selection of fruity teas for teams to enjoy together, creating a simple moment in the day to pause, chat and recharge. Sometimes it’s the small things that make the biggest difference, and taking a few minutes to sit down with colleagues can be a welcome break during a busy shift.
Alongside this, we displayed Samaritans posters at our sites, sharing clear and practical advice for anyone who may be feeling low or struggling. These resources were there as a gentle reminder that support is available and that no one has to face difficult moments alone.

At HILS, we support people in our communities every day, and we know how important it is to also look after the wellbeing of the teams who deliver those services. Brew
Monday gave us a chance to do just that – encouraging conversation, awareness and a bit of togetherness, fuelled by a decent brew.
We’re pleased to share a photo from our West Sussex team enjoying their Brew Monday teas together, and we’d like to thank everyone who took part and helped create a positive moment during what can be a challenging time of year.
At HILS, caring for people in our communities starts with caring for the people who work here. If you’re looking for a role where kindness, teamwork and looking out for one another genuinely matter, we’d love you to take a look at our current opportunities.
