Christmas at our HILS Hubs
Our HILS hubs well and truly got into the Christmas spirit this year, with two joyful celebrations that brought people together for connection, laughter and plenty of festive cheer.
At Friendship House in Hatfield, the hub was buzzing from the moment the celebrations began. Guests enjoyed fun and games, live singers and lots of dancing, all alongside a delicious Christmas lunch. Everyone was in high spirits, sharing smiles, laughter, and their super smooth dancing skills!
A particularly special moment came courtesy of St Philip Howard School, whose pupils visited to sing for our clients. Their performance brought a real sense of Christmas spirit into the room and was a lovely example of different generations coming together to share joy. The excitement continued with a very special visit from Father Christmas, complete with his grotto. This visit from the man of the moment was the icing on the cake and helped make the day feel truly magical for everyone there.
Over in Cuffley, the festive fun was just as strong. Guests were treated to a fantastic three-course Christmas meal, live singing and plenty of dancing throughout the day. The celebrations even started early, with joyful singing on the coach journey, setting the tone before everyone had even arrived. By the end of the day, there were tired feet, happy faces and lots of festive memories made.
A wonderful time was had by all at both Christmas parties, and none of it would have been possible without the hard work, care and dedication of our brilliant HILS hub teams. Huge thanks also go to our volunteers and helpers, who generously gave their time and energy to support the events and ensure everyone felt welcome and included.
These celebrations are a perfect example of what our HILS hubs are all about. Bringing people together, reducing loneliness and making sure no one feels forgotten, especially at Christmas.
