HILS Impact Report 2025: Helping people stay happy, healthy, and independent
We’re proud to launch our HILS Impact Report 2025, now available to read on our website. This year’s report highlights the incredible difference that HILS continues to make across Hertfordshire, Hampshire, and West Sussex.
In 2024–25, our dedicated teams, volunteers, and partners helped over 18,000 older and vulnerable people to live independently at home — staying happier, healthier, and more connected to their communities.
Our meals on wheels service alone generated an incredible £62.4 million in social value, proving that a warm meal and a friendly face can change lives. Across our services, HILS has:
🍽️ Delivered over 1 million hot, nutritious meals throughout the year
💪 Supported thousands through our Active Ageing, Nutrition, and Advocacy services in Hertfordshire
💛 Helped 96% of meals clients feel happier and 98% more independent
🏠 Provided vital companionship and safety checks to people living alone
Behind every number is a real person. Someone who has been supported to stay at home, rebuild strength, and reconnect with their community.
The HILS Impact Report 2025 also celebrates the compassion and dedication of our 466 staff and volunteers, whose daily care and commitment make all of this possible.
