From August 12th to 18th, we celebrated Afternoon Tea Week with a delightful cream tea option in our Tea Pack, making it impossible to resist joining in the fun!.
We kicked off the week by partnering with our suppliers, Bidfood, to deliver free cream teas to our meals on wheels clients across Hertfordshire, West Sussex, and Hampshire. After all, who can say no to a free scone with jam and clotted cream?
In Hertfordshire, our hubs were bustling with activity. At our Friendship House Community Hub, we hosted an afternoon tea, while our outreach worker, Emily, visited the Kingfisher dementia hub in St Albans and the Cuffley Day Centre hub for a session of “guess the tea flavour” and a lively tea-themed quiz.
Additionally, our offices engaged in the classic debate: jam or cream first? The results might be too controversial to share, but rest assured, the superior choice prevailed.
