Breakfast and Tea Packs can only be delivered with a hot meal at lunchtime.
Eligibility
You are eligible for the lower (non-VAT) meals price if you meet at least one of the following criteria:
Our Meals Service is designed to support you if you are over 18 and:
• you have difficulty preparing a meal safely
• you have a mental, physical, or learning disability
• your carer is unwell or on holiday,
• you’ve just come out of the hospital or you’re recovering from an illness
• you’re unable to cook meals for yourself after someone dies
If you do not meet these criteria, you can still receive meals with VAT applied. Please see the Frequently Asked Questions for information on the VAT inclusive prices.

Eligibility
You are eligible for the lower (non-VAT) meals price if:
- Criteria 1 OR 2 are met
- OR if criteria 3,4, AND 5 are met
1. You receive care or support that is paid for by West Sussex County Council (e.g. personal carers that are funded by WSCC)
2. You receive any of these financial benefits:
a. Attendance Allowance
b. Carers Allowance
c. Disability Living Allowance or Personal Independence Payments
3. You are 65 or over
4. You have a long-term medical condition
5. You are unable to prepare, cook, or otherwise source hot nutritious food without meals on wheels
If you do not meet this criteria, you can still receive meals with VAT applied. Please note that the Tea Pack does not have VAT applied for any client.

Category 1: you are over 18 and meet at least one of the following criteria:
1. You are aged 55 or more
2. You are living with dementia
3. You have a physical or learning disability
4. You have a mental health issue
5. You have a history of substance abuse
Category 2: you must also meet at least one of the following criteria:
1. You are struggling to cook for yourself
2. You have just come out of hospital
3. Your carer or relative needs a break from cooking or shopping
4. You are feeling physically or mentally unwell
5. You have difficulty shopping for food
