Marketing and Communications Officer

What did you do before? 

I used to be an Account Executive in haircare advertising. I also run my own freelance writing business. 

When did you start working for HILS? 

I joined HILS in October 2021 as an administrator for the Health & Wellbeing team before moving across to the Communications & Marketing Team in 2023. 

What does your job entail? 

I help spread the word about HILS and everything that we do. I create digital and social media content for a range of target audiences and assist with printed literature such as leaflets and the Annual Impact Report. Daily tasks can range from writing and proofreading text all the way to giving talks about our services at local community events. 

Why do you enjoy working for HILS? 

HILS envelopes both staff and clients in a real sense of community. I have made some wonderful friends here and I love shouting about the services we have on offer. 

What is your favourite thing about HILS? 

I can’t choose between supporting our clients to maintain their independence and working with such a lovely team!
